Fury upstage Melbourne to push 'Nix down into 9th spot whilst Sydney go top 1-0 over Adelaide

Veteren Steve Corica underlined his fitness this current campaign when he netted the only goal as Sydney won 1-0 over a lack of edge from Adelaide, whilst in Townsville, the Fury moved off the bottom of the A-League table with an impressive 1-0 win over title-holders Melbourne with its winning goal from Dayen Daal.

The latest matches mean that Sydney now go three points clear at the top, with Melbourne second, whilst at the bottom of the table, North Queensland Fury move off the bottom leaving the Phoenix 9th, leaving Adelaide United bottom.
